The challenge: How do you create a video to replace a 1000 person event at Cipriani in New york City?

During the first year of the pandemic, the Harlem Children’s Zone was looking to produce a “virtual event” in leu of their usual annual fundraising gala. 590films was brought in — along with our frequent collaborator Full Story Strategies — to produce the event. Utilizing a combination of motion graphic interstitials, Zoom interviews, photos, and socially distanced outdoor interviews, we produced a dynamic and engaging virtual event that helped raise over 20 million dollars for the organization.

Since this successful first COVID project, we’ve gone on to produce numerous large virtual events and conferences for HCZ. Post pandemic, we’ve continued our collaboration with HCZ, producing numerous student and graduate profiles from their Promise Academy charter schools, and the event production work for their first national conference.
